Processed data, purposes and legal bases
- Server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer, user agent) — to ensure operation and for error analysis. Legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Contact form (name, email address, optional phone, subject, message) — to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or legitimate interest in replying). Submissions are delivered by email to the controller; no third-party service (such as reCAPTCHA) is involved in the processing.
- Anti-spam in the contact form — we use an invisible honeypot field, a time-based check against automated submissions and an HMAC-signed arithmetic challenge. No personal data is transmitted to third parties in this process.
- Remote support via TeamViewer QuickSupport
(
898.tv/sr3pdq3) — only if you actively open the link and consent to a session. TeamViewer Germany GmbH is an independent controller in this context; their privacy terms apply. Legal basis on our side: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract with existing customers).
Hosting and processing on behalf
This website runs on a dedicated server rented from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in a German data centre. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner. No transfer to third countries takes place as part of hosting.
Email delivery
Contact-form submissions are delivered through a mail server we operate ourselves to the controller (sender domain elos.berlin, SPF/DKIM signed). That mail server runs on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH; the data processing agreement mentioned above also covers this step. Submissions are not handed to external email service providers.
Retention period
Server logs: a maximum of 7 days, then deleted automatically. Contact enquiries: until your request has been processed, then according to statutory retention obligations under German tax and commercial law (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB).
Your rights
- Access to stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — for us: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit .
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls at application and server level and regular backups.
